ANNAPURNA SANCTUARY
Departures
from 22/02 to 10/03/09, from 22/03 to 07/04/09, from 04/04 to 20/04/09

Days 1 and 2: Departure Paris/Katmandou, arrival at Katmandou, reception and transfer to hotel NorbuLinka.
Day 3: Drive to Nayapul in a private minibus then short trek until Birethanti. Overnight Lodge.
Days 4 and 5: Ascend the Bhurundi khola valley till the village of Ulleri (2070m). then up until Gorapani (2800m) through rhododendrons forests in flowers during spring. Splendid view on Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiris and Annapurnas. 5hr.30 and 4hr trek per day. Overnight Lodges
Day 6: Early morning trek up to Poon Hill (3100m) above Gorepani for a spectacular sunrise on the Dhaulagiri, Nilgiris, Annapurnas… then descent through rhododendron forest till Tadapani (2540m). 6hrs trek. Overnight Lodges
Days 7 and 8: Steep descent towards Kyumnu khola then towards the large Gurung village of Chhomrong (1950m) at the foot of Annapurna South. Climb towards Bamboo Lodge (2190m) through bamboo and rhododendron forests. Good view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare. 5hrs and 6hrs trek per day. Overnight Lodges.
Days 9 and 10: Climb up to Deorali (3100m) then towards the Machhapuchhre base camp (3480m) and the Annapurna Sanctuary (3960m). Panoramic view on Annapurna South, Fang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapucchre. 5hrs and 6hrs per day.
Days 11 and 12: Exploration of the sanctuary, descent the Modi Khola valley till Dobhan (2430m) then the village of Chhomrong. 6hrs per day.
Day 13: Descent towards Kyumnu khola then climb up to the large Gurung village of Gandruk (1940m). Overnight Lodge.
Day 14: Descent until Birethanti then Nayapul, transfer to Pokhara. Overnight hotel.
Day 15 to Day 17: Transfer to Katmandou by bus, free time then departure to airport.
