What is a trek ?
|
|
| |
A trek is a few or many
days walking along well-established trails making close contacts
through villages where the people still live in much the same way
as generations ago. Not to forget of course the beautiful views
of the mighty Himalayas.
Trekking does not mean that you should have a climbing experience. Our experienced guide will accompany you, decide the daily activity and carefully organize the camping sites at your pace of trekking.
Every morning, with the help of his Sherpa staff, the guide carefully
organizes the load of the porters who carries your personal kit
bags, camping equipments and food. All you need to carry is a small
backpack with your water bottle, camera and a light jacket or pullover
for the day. Whether you are experienced or not, all that you really
require is a good physical condition, motivation, adventure spirit,
and readiness to accept traditions totally different from your own.

“Average Altitude Treks” and “Altitude
Treks”.
Low Altitude Treks are for those in good physical condition
who enjoy walking in the hills, passing through villages. These
treks generally are of 4 to 5 hours walk and take you up to 3000
metres.
Average Altitude Treks are for those trekkers in good
physical condition, who walk regularly, and who are prepared to
trek longer days. |

| TEA-HOUSE TREK |
 |
A popular
way to experience and discover the rural life and mountains of Nepal,
"tea-house treks" are for those who wish to experience
the local infrastructure by trekking from tea-house to tea-house,
previously used by local traders and now, with the increase of trekkers,
transformed into lodges.
These tea-houses provide food and accommodation,
and are available only along the traditional routes, in the Annapurna,
Everest and Langtang areas.
