SIKKIM MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR - itinerary

Days 01/02 : Flight Paris/Kathmandu, arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day03 : Flight Kathmandu/Bhadrapur around noon , on arrival, transfer Bhadrapur Airport to Kalimpong, formalities at border immigration. O/N Hotel Silver Oaks.
Day04 : Kalimpong / Pakyong (60 km.) . Departure by mountain bikes, descend to the Tista river, continue towards Rangpo, the sikkimese border and then to Pakyong. O/N camp or lodge.
Day05 : Pakyong / Gangtok (50km.) via Rumtek. Gradual climb towards Rumtek, visit monastery, replica of the famous tibetan monastery of Tsurpu. We can also visit the Nehru botanical gardens which has rare varieties of orchids. From Tashi view point, we can have an exceptional view of the Kanchenjunga range. O/N Hotel Anola.

Day06 : Gangtok / Mangan (70km.). Continue to North Sikkim, on the way, stop at Phodang to visit the important Kagyupa monastery built in 16th century. In the late afternoon, we will arrive Mangan-la, the district headquarters. O/N camp or lodge.
Day07 : Mangan / Lingi (60km.). We follow the Tista river and leave the south part by passing through Dikchu and then Bazar to arrive at Lingi. O/N camp or lodge.
Day08 : Lingi / Mangkha / Temi (50km.) Descend to the Tista river from where we will have at Mangkha a superb view of the Charodongchen, the highest point of the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary. Continue to the small village of Sirwani and then climb towards Temi through the tea gardens. O/N camp or lodge.

Day09 : Temi / Tashiding (50km.) Gradual climb towards the north west till Rabongla then descend till Lekship and then the final climb towards Tashiding, famous pilgrimage centre, nestled in the heart of an eden garden. O/N camp or lodge.
Day10 : Tashiding / Yuksom (30km.) via Kecheperi. Climb towards the northwest through the cardamom fields till the sacred lake of Kecheperi surrounded by green forest. We will continue till Yuksom, Kanchenjunga base camp and the ancient capital of Sikkim . O/N camp or lodge.
Day11 : Yuksom / Naya Bazaar(Jorethang) 80km. Descend and then climb towards Rinchenpong, visit monastery and then continue the descend to Naya Bazaar through typical villages of west Sikkim . O/N Camp or Lodge.

Day12 : Naya Bazar / Darjeeling. 50km. Descend towards the Rangit river and then climb up to Darjeeling . O/N Hotel Himalayan Resort.
Day13 : Transfer by mini-bus from Darjeeling to Bhadrapur Airport, on arrival transfer to hotel. Day14 : Morning free time, transfer airport for flight back home.
